Huawei, LG to make next Nexus devices: rumour

TOKYO: It is in the air that Huawei would be making the next Nexus device for Google, but recent rumors have been coming forth that LG will be making a newer edition to the Nexus 5 as well. Two Nexus devices in one year? This must be a dream right? Rumor is that Huawei would be making the larger of the 2 phones possibly coming out. The screen size on this would be 5.7″, while LG would be making one with 5.2″. As for resolution, nothing has been mentioned, but we can guess either 1080 or 2K on either one or maybe even both. Huawei is said to be using an OLED display and a Snapdragon 810 CPU. Strange part is, Huawei has their own processors and could possibly be going with their Kirin CPU.

LG on the other hand has hasn’t announced any specifics other than LG is “considering” making the second generation Nexus 5, which Androidpit got from a source. The Snapdragon 808 might be used in LG’s model, just like their G4, but since Nexus devices are set for a Q4 release, LG may add in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 815 or 820 chip instead.

Still have that salt shaker? Good. Now take about a pinch worth’s and that’s all you need for listening to these rumors.

Google may be announcing both phones at their Google I/O 2015 conference at the end of this month (May 28th to the 29th) along with Android “M”. Guess we’ll have to wait for this conference in order to see if any of these rumors are true or even brought up.
