The achievement marks the culmination of nearly two years of strategic collaboration, which began in 2023 with Huawei’s close involvement in project planning, tender guidance, and commercial strategy formulation, said a news release.

In June 2025, Transworld issued a purchase order to Huawei for full-scale deployment of the 400G network, encompassing manufacturing, inland transportation, installation, power-up, and commissioning.

Demonstrating exceptional execution speed, Huawei successfully delivered nine 400G Lambdas, five long-haul and four metro ahead of schedule, enabling Transworld to declare the Islamabad–Karachi Lambda Ready for Service (RFS) by October 3rd, 2025.

This successful rollout not only fortifies Pakistan’s digital backbone but also reinforces Huawei’s dedication to innovation, reliability, and strategic partnerships across the region’s evolving telecom landscape.
