KARACHI: Pakistan Customs destroyed contraband goods on Monday to mark International Customs Day. A press release of the Customs department said that 89516 bottles of liquor, 171262 cans of beer, 136 kg heroin powder, 164 kg chars, smuggled gutka, cigarettes and medicines were destroyed in presence of representatives of different embassies and Customs staff at National Highway near Ghaghar Phatak.
A seminar was also organized at the Customs house to observe the day.
