LAHORE: The FIA Corporate Crime Circle Lahore team conducted a raid at Neelum Laboratories & Dawakhana Nawab Town Raiwind Road here on Thursday and seized a huge quantity of spurious drugs, manufactured under the garb of herbal medicines worth millions of rupees.
According to FIA spokesman, about 51 different fake brands of tablets, capsules, syrups and powders were being manufactured and supplied to 2,000 medical stores across the country.
Manufacturing and packing machinery were recovered from the premises. Accused Mazhar Hashmi, the owner, and another person Khawaja Irfan were arrested. Further investigation is in progress.
