BUDAPEST: Hungary’s government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with navigation company NNG on Tuesday.
The deal is the 66th such agreement the government has signed since 2010. In line with the agreement, NNG will go against current industry trends and will not seek cheap labour abroad but keep its hub and development activities in Hungary, foreign minister Péter Szijjártó said.
In order to maintain Hungary’s competitiveness, it needs to further improve the capabilities and capacities required by industries that use state-of-the-art technologies and represent high value added, he said.
An education agreement signed with NNG will contribute to these efforts, he added. NNG was set up by Hungarian and Israeli experts 12 years ago and the company provides navigation services in 50 languages in 190 countries, with 20 million people using the services, he said.
