BELGIUM: eFun’s not one to miss out on CES festivities, and this year, the company is exhibiting off incipient Windows 8.1 and Android “Nextbook” models. They’re all laptop-tablet hybrids, with detachable keyboards sporting a USB connection, 32GB to 64GB internal storage (expandable with microSD) and 2GB of RAM.
The 10.1-inch option additionally comes with something extra, though: a one-year Microsoft Office 365 Personal subscription with 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage and 60 Skype world minutes per month. The Windows 8.1 lineup consists of three Quad Core Intel Atom-powered contrivances with screens quantifying 10.1 inches (1,280 x 800 pixels, $229), 11.6 inches (1,366 x 768 pixels, $249) and 12.5 inches (1,366 x 768 pixels, $279).
Meanwhile, the Android lineup commences with two tablets: an 8-inch one priced at $129 and another 8-inch option with a Snapdragon processor and LTE connection for $199. Both contrivances have 1280×800 screens, 16GB of storage (additionally expandable) and 1GB of RAM.
The next step up is a hybrid LTE model with a 10.1-inch screen (1280×800), detachable keyboard, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 16GB storage, 2MP front and rear cameras, and 1GB of RAM. The most astronomically immense of the bunch, however, is an 11.6-inch (1366×768) hybrid with 64GB of storage, 1GB of RAM and front and rear cameras. All these are scheduled to hit the market on May 2015, with both 10.1-inch contrivances priced at $229, both 11.6-inch ones at $249 and the 12.5-inch Windows version at $279.
