Hyderabad ASO confiscates goods worth Rs73m in Nov

HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) seized smuggled items worth Rs 73.5 million during different operations in November, 2015.

Sources told Customs Today the ASO team following the instruction of Collector Dr. Ahmed Mujtaba Memon conducted various raided in Hyderabad, Larkana and Sukkur confiscated smuggled items under the supervision of Additional Collector Umar Shafique.

According to details, the ASO has seized smuggled goods including 48,526 liters of Iranian diesel worth Rs 2.511 million, 458 liters of motor oil valued at Rs 130,400, vehicles worth Rs 8 million, 25,678 yards of foreign origin cloth worth Rs 3.3 million, betel nuts 400 kilogram worth Rs 140,000, black tea 4,060 kg worth Rs 1.77 million, cigarette valued at Rs 2.61 million, gutka 200, 500 sachets valued at Rs 749,000, tyres and tubes and auto parts worth Rs 1.573 million, electronic goods and blankets worth Rs 9.993, toiletries worth Rs 3.418, dry fruits, black pepper, cumin seeds and plastic crush valued at Rs 15.62 million during the said period.
