HYDERABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad, has taken into possession a foreign origin Toyota Land Cruiser Prado during a recent action in June 2017.
On the strict instructions of Collector Akhlaq Ahmad Khattaq, Model Custom Collectorate Hyderabad conducted a raid under the supervision of Additional Collector Rehmatulah Vistro. The ASO comprised of Superintendent Ghulam Shabbier Phalpoto, Inspector Imdad Ali Abro, Inspector Abdul Majeed Barich, Inspector Muhammad Iqbal, Inspector Abid Ahmad Khan, Inspector Mushtaq Ali Lakho, Hawaldar Muhram Thebo, Sepoys Nenomal, Umar Sulangi, Ghulam Sarwar, Muhammad Ayoub, Sadique, Drivers Sher Akbar, Ajaz Ali and Nisar Ahemdani.
The ASO recovered the vehicle on a tip-off. The value of the vehicle is Rs01million involving duty taxes of Rs01.4million.
The team asked the driver to produce the documents showing the legal import of the vehicle but he failed to do so therefore the customs officials impounded the vehicle.
