Hyderabad ASO impounds two Toyota HiLux worth Rs 3.7 million

HYDERABAD: Model Custom Collectorate Hyderabad Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) impounded two non-duty paid luxury vehicles worth Rs 3.7 million in Hyderabad.

As per the details, following the instruction of Hyderabad Customs Additional Collector Omer Shafique, an ASO team comprising Deputy Superintendent Sikandar Akbar Panhwar, seizing officer Khair Muhammad Pathan and seizing officer Momin Shah conducted an operation in Qasamabad and Naseem Nagar Chowk areas of Hyderabad to impound non-duty paid vehicles.

The ASO team intercepted two Toyota HiLux Surf bearing registration number BD-6339 and CP-1526 and asked the owners to produce the documents. The accused could not produce any relevant documents against the legal possession of the vehicles.

On the other hand, the impounded vehicles would be deposited to the Hyderabad Warehouse after making a seizure report, while investigation in this regard is underway.
