Hyderabad ASO seizes non-duty paid Land Crusier

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized non-duty paid Land Cruiser model 1992  worth Rs 1.5 million during a crackdown.

The sources told Customs Today that Hyderabad  Additional Collector Omar Shfique received information regarding the smuggled vehicle upon which he constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent Sikander Akbar Phanwar, which also includes Inspector Khair Muhammad Pathan, Inspector, Syed Momin Shah and other staff.

The team asked the driver of the vehicle to produce documents showing the legal import  and possession  of  the vehicle. However, the driver failed to show any documents to the ASO team.

The ASO team seized the vehicle and forward the case to customs adjudication.
