Hyderabad ASO seizes smuggled diesel worth Rs 4.4 million

HYDERABAD: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad’s Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) impounded an oil tanker carrying 60,000 liters smuggled diesel worth Rs 4.4 million.

Sources informed Customs Today that an ASO team under the supervision of MCC Hyderabad Additional Collector Omar Shafique intercepted the oil tanker bearing registration no. TLE -229 near Umer Kot at Mirpur khas Road and seized smuggled diesel worth Rs 4.4 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 8,74,128 besides impounding the vehicle worth Rs 2 million.
