Hyderabad ASO seizes non-duty paid Toyota Corolla

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation has seized a Toyota Corolla car model 2002 worth Rs 1 million involving duty taxes amounting to Rs 1.4 million during a crackdown in Hyderabad.

According to details, the Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad  Collector Dr Ahmed Mujtaba Memon received a credible information regarding above said vehicle. After receiving the information Collector Mujtaba Memon forms a raiding team under the supervision of Additional Collector Omer Shafique, while inspector Waqar Ahmed Baig, inspector Shafi Mohammad Jamali and other staff also part of the raiding party.

The raiding team intercepted the vehicle bearing registration No. AAJ-372 near Giddu Chowk Hyderabad. When raiding party asked the owner to produce documents regarding legal import of vehicles, but he failed to do so.
