Hyderabad ASO seizes vehicle & goods priced Rs01.6m during Feb.

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organizations (ASO) Hyderabad has impounded smuggled goods including foreign origin Non-Duty Paid Toyota Primo car and 30 cartons of dinner sets and 2400 pieces of different brands of body spray perfumes worth Rs01.6million involving duty and taxes of Rs01.5million during different raids.

During February 2017, Collector MCC Hyderabad Agha Sahid Majeed Khan directed his staff to curb smuggling attempts in the region. The ASO team, under the supervision of Additional Collector Omar Shafique, conducted different operations in Hyderabad and recovered smuggled items including non-duty paid Toyota Primo car with registration No: AAA-639 modelled 2004 worth Rs800000 with duty and taxes of Rs01.1million and foreign origin 30 cartons of dinner sets valued Rs240000 involving duty and taxes of Rs153480 and foreign origin 2400 pieces of different brands of body spray perfumes worth Rs482964. The ASO team registered separate cases of smuggling against the accused and forwarded them to the customs adjudications.
