Hyderabad ASO seizes contraband items worth millions of rupees in one week

HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad’s Anti-Smuggling Organisation has impounded three vehicles and seized 54,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel during last week of May, 2015.

As per details, ASO team impounded an unregistered Toyota Hilux Surf worth Rs 800,000 near Tando Adam, while another confiscation of Toyota Sera was made by customs near Kohisar an area of Hyderabad as the owner could not produce any document regarding the legal possession of the vehicle.

Besides, ASO team also impounded a Toyota Hilux double cabin at Pasloni Kot near Super Highway during the said time period.

ASO team comprising Superintendent Nadeem Usmani, Deputy Superintendent Sikandar Akbar Panhwar, Inspector Khair Mohammad Pathan, Seizing officer Momin Shah and other staff conducted operation in Hyderabad region to curb the smuggling.
