Hyderabad Customs collects Rs788.471m revenue during 15 days of November

HYDERABAD: The Customs Collectorate has collected Rs788.471 million revenue during the first fifteen days of current month against the assigned target of Rs1682.970 million during the month of November 2017-18.

According to details Hyderabad and Sukkur division has collected customs duty Rs.210.844 million (CD) sales tax (ST) Rs 567.168 million income tax (IT) Rs.10.209, million FED Rs0.250 during the first 14th days month of November 2017-18

The major tax source  includes Bonded Warehouse SWH and KPR Hyderabad M/s Reema Cooking Oil and the Pakistan State Oil. The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) also seized non-duty paid goods worth million of rupees during the month. Of October 2017-18

The Customs Collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organization, (ASO) also impounded non duty paid vehicles including oil tankers filled liters of smuggled Iranian High Speed Diesel (HSD), foreign origin non duty paid Gutka cigarettes of different brands and marina wall to wall prayers carpets Made in turkey cloths, auto parts ,fire works,  narcotic  and other contraband items worth million of rupees were also confiscated during the month of September till November 2017-18.

Sources told that under the supervision of Collector Akhlaq Ahmad Khattak, Additional Collector Dr Aamer Nawaz hamid Deputy Collector Basat Hussain   Deputy Collector Dry Port  Kalimullah , Principal Appraiser Mashuq Ali Panhwar, Appraiser Ashir, Appraiser Tabassum  and Superintendent Statistical Revenue Anti smuggling origination ASO customs preventive   played an important role in revenue collection, officials said.

They added that the anti-smuggling campaign is in full swing in the region following the direction of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Collector Akhlaq Ahmad Khattak in order to enhance the revenue generation resources.
