Hyderabad Customs earns Rs 7.49 million through auction

HYDERABAD: Model Customs Hyderabad State Warehouse deposited Rs 7.49 million to national exchequer earned through the auction of smuggled items in March-2015.

As per detail, MCC Hyderabad earns Rs 4.98 million by selling the 81,000 litres High Speed Diesel (HSD) seized by customs authorities taking action against the smuggling of Iranian diesel in the region.

Similarly, MCC Hyderabad auctioned a vehicle, tyres cloth and other items by earning Rs 2.5 million.

Officials said that MCC Hyderabad was taking actions against the smuggling actively to save the national economy and local business community.

MCC Hyderabad Inspector Saleem and Constable Husain conducted the auction at state warehouse Hyderabad.
