KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate Hyderabad has sped up their efforts to curb smuggling in the region. During the on going operation against smugglers, the customs authorities seized a huge quantity of smuggled Iranian diesel.
Sources told Customs Today that during one operation against smugglers, the ASO team seized 12,000 liters of Iranian diesel. The market value of seized Iranian diesel is Rs 1.2 millions. While during another crackdown ASO team raided Qaim Chani Filling Station which is located on Kamboh Road and seized 8000 liters smuggled Iranian diesel and arrested two accused persons who was identified as Mohammad Saleh and Qamar Hyder. ASO team regsitered cases of smuggling against the arrested persons.
