Hyderabad Customs foils bid to smuggle Rs7.89m electronics goods

HYDERABAD: Customs Collectorate seized non-duty paid digital and video cameras, watches, mobile covers, batteries, chargers and different type of mobile accessories worth Rs7.89 million including vehicles which were being used in smuggling.

Sources told Customs Today on Wednesday that information was received to Collector Agha Khalid Jamali that a truck loaded with non-duty paid imported digital and video cameras, imported watches, mobile covers, batteries, chargers and different type of mobile accessories was heading towards Hyderabad to its way to Karachi. The customs team intercepted the truck bearing registration no: BMS-0942 near Hyderabad Highway.
