Hyderabad Customs generates Rs 2.4 million through auction

HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad has generated Rs 2.4 million through auction of seized smuggled items including black tea weighing 13,195 kilogram and pepper 2,570 kg.

The auction held at Hyderabad Customs’ State Ware House where the smuggled items confiscated in May were presented for auction through an open bid.

Under the supervision of Assistant Collector Shahid Iqbal along with Superintendent Sanaullah Sahar, Inspector Saleem Ajmari, Inspector Alauddin Qaim Khanid auction was conducted.
