Hyderabad Customs installs Rapi Scan van at Zero Point Khokhrapar

HYDERABAD: Customs Collectorate Hyderabad has installed scanner (Rapi Scan van at zero point Khokhrapar Railway Station.

Sources told Customs Today  that after imparting  necessary training  to  customs officials  and devising a standard operating  procedure  (SOP) for  the  maintenance  and  operation  of  scanning  system  the  scanner  was   installed    on 19th November 2016  now the  passengers  baggage  is  being  processed   through  the  scanning  machine.

Sources said that the  installation  of  scanner   at  zero  point  is a big  step towards  the facilitation of passengers by  using  modern  technology  as per  international  best practices  This step  has  not only   helped  in  reducing  the  dwell / clearance  time  considerably   by  replacing  the  cumbersome   process.

Sources said that due to provision of latest technology traders will avail this opportunity to enhance their trade activities in the region. Sources said that trade activities at Khokharpar will be enhanced in near future and these activities will also generate revenue.

Sources said that clearance of baggage with the help of modern and efficient system also help in further improving  the image of Pakistan in comity of nations the passengers travelling to and from India expired their satisfaction  on  hassle  free   clearance  of their baggage  and  appreciated  the  step taken  by Pakistan customs for  their  facilitation.

Sources said that Hyderabad Collectorate will use all avaiable resources to enhance revenue generation. Sources said that the Collectorate adopted comprehensive measures to meet the revenue collection target set for Fiscal Year 2016-17.
