Hyderabad Customs Intelligence confiscates items worth Rs 4.7m

HYDERABAD: The Customs Investigation and Intelligence’ Field Investigation Unit (FIU) Hyderabad seized smuggled contraband goods and a Toyota Corolla vehicle worth Rs 4.7 million during the different operation in Hyderabad.

Sources said that FIU on the strict instructions of Customs Intelligence Karachi Director Asif Marghoob Saddiqui took action against the smuggling in the region and

The customs officials intercepted a Toyota Corolla bearing Registration No. AGN-316 at Superhighway Hyderabad and recovered 20 cartons of gutka on which they impound the vehicle and gutka worth Rs 1.6 million.

However, in another operation the customs intelligence officials confiscated 407 pieces of tyres, 3200 kilogram of plastic rolls valued at Rs 3.1 million.

The seized items have been deposited to the state warehouse Hyderabad after making the seizure reports in this regard.
