Hyderabad Customs Intelligence impounds Mitsubishi Pajero worth Rs 1.2m

HYDERABAD: The Customs Investigation and Intelligence Hyderabad’s Field Investigation Unit (FIU) has impounded a non-duty paid vehicle valued at Rs 1.2 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 1 million in an operation.

According to the details, a team of FIU following credible tip off received through Superintendent Ghulam Youns Khan conducted raid to hold the non duty paid vehicle.

The team under supervision of Inspector Yawar Abbas took action and intercepted a vehicle, Mitsubishi Pajero bearing Registration No. GS-3009 near Hyderabad bypass.

The officials asked the driver to produce any documents showing the legal possession and import of the vehicle, but he could not show any documented evidence on which customs impounded the vehicle following the prevailing customs laws.
