Hyderabad Customs Intelligence seizes CNG cylinders, ball bearing worth

HYDERABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized foreign origin 25 pieces of CNG cylinders and a large quantity of ball bearings worth Rs 670,000 involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 300,000 during a raid in Hyderabad.

Sources told that field investigation unit of Customs Intelligence conducted a raid following credible information received through Deputy Director Muhammad Tayyab to curb the smuggling

FIU team comprising Deputy Superintendent Sikander Hayat Khanzada, Inspector Irfan Ghani, sepoys and driver took operation and intercepted a vehicle of M/s Waqar Kareem and recovered CNG cylinders and ball bearings. The officials asked the driver to show the documents regarding the customs clearance but he could not do the same.

Therefore, all recovered items were confiscated under the customs laws, while further investigation is underway.
