Hyderabad Customs Intelligence seizes smuggled items worth Rs 6.6m in September

HYDERABAD: The Customs Investigation and Intelligence Hyderabad has confiscated foreign origin contraband items worth Rs 6.6 million during September 2015 involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 3.9 million.

The Customs Intelligence conducted raids following credible information received through Deputy Director Muhammad Tayyab, to curb the smuggling.

The intelligence teams seized 407 pieces of foreign origin tyres, 81 plastic rolls, 1,700 crates of Rani Juice, 123,500 packs of gutka, two Toyota Corolla bearing Registration Nos. AAH-704 and AGN-316 worth Rs 6.6 million during worth Rs 6.6 million.

Under the super vision of Deputy Auperintendent Sikander Hayat Khanzada Deputy Superintendent Irfan Khan, the team comprising Inspector Irfan Ghani, Yawar Abbas, Noor Mohammad Shah and Sepoys Noshad Khan, Azam Allaudin Moeen, Ahmed Khan and others participated in the raids.

After making the seizure reports, the Hyderabad Customs Intelligence has deposited the seized the items to state warehouse.
