HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Customs has foiled a bid to smuggle different items worth Rs 1,000,000 and arrested the accused.
According to details, Director General of Intelligence and Investigation Lutfulla Virk received information regarding smuggling of the items. Soon after receiving the report, he constituted a team who conducted a raid with the support of the rangers personnel near Hatri police station.
They intercepted a truck bearing registration no TKJ 858 and recovered foreign origin smuggled items. The raiding team asedk the drivers to produce legal documents but he failed to do. The driver and cleaner were taken into custody while further investigations are underway.
