Hyderabad customs seizes contraband items worth Rs240000

HYDERABAD: The Customs Preventive Sukkur-Larkana division has confiscated foreign origin contraband items including 90 cartons of Dunhill cigarette and F/O 10 cartons of Benson cigarette valued Rs240000 during an action at the Sukkur check-post.

The Anti-Smuggling Organization team, following the instructions of Collector Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad Agha Shahid Majeed Khan, conducted different raids in the region to curb smuggling.

An ASO team of Hyderabad Customs Preventive Sukkur-Larkana division, under the supervision of Additional Collector Rehmatulah VIstro, has seized abovementioned smuggled goods during an operation.

Officials told Customs Today that a seizure report has been prepared and the confiscated items have been deposited into the State Ware House in Sukkur division. The ASO team, comprising Superintendent Ghulam Shabbir Phalputo, Inspectors Nasrullah Gilan, Ayaz Ali Shah, Rahib Ali aAbro, Abdul Wahab Sheikh, Muhammad Jurial Abbasi, Agha Nazir Ahmed, Sepoys Shabbir Ahmed Thebo, Iqbal Sheikh, Hawaldar Mehram Ali, Driver Manzoor Shori and other staff, took part in the operation.
