Hyderabad Customs State Warehouse deposits Rs 11.1m during October

HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) State Warehouse has deposited Rs 11.1 million into the national exchequer. The amount was collected through auction and taxes during the last week of October 2017-18.

Sources told Customs Today that 203,489 liters of high speed diesel and 1,200 liters of petrol  were seized by the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Customs Preventive Hyderabad, on the instructions of Hyderabad Collector, Akhlaq Ahmad Khattaq and under the supervision of Additional Collector Dr Aamer Nawaz Hamid.

The collectorate released the impounded consignments of diesel and petrol after receiving the tax payment during the last week  of October 2017-18. The collectorate deposited an amount of Rs 11.1 million into the national exchequer, which it collected through auction and sale during the last week of October.

Deputy Collector (HQ) Basit Hussain’s team comprised Superintendent Nadeem Ahmed Usmani, Hyderabad State Warehouse In-charge Inspectors Alawdin KK, Saleem Ajmeri, Tariq Ghani, Sharif Shaikh, UDC Tikam Das and Havaldar Muhammad Hussain.

Collector Akhlaq Ahmad Khattaq and Additional Collector Dr Aamer Nawaz Hamid have appreciated the performance of the anti smuggling team.
