Hyderabad Customs to introduce system for evaluation of staff performance

HYDERABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad is going to introduce a system for transfers & postings and evaluating the performance of the staff to bring efficiency and transparency.

Talking to Customs Today, MCC Hyderabad Additional Collector Omar Shafiq said that department is striving to facilitate the taxpayers as they play a key role in national economy.

He said that a system is being planned to monitor the performance of the staff and to curb the smuggling in the region. Different tasks will be assigned to teams of the collectorate to evaluate their performance, while poor performer will be brought to book, Omar Shafiq added.

Omar also added that MCC Hyderabad is determined to achieve the set revenue target for current fiscal year 2014-15. He said that MCC Hyderabad will also move the court regarding the earlier disposal of tax recovery cases.
