Hyderabad Dry Port, Sukkur division collect Rs 378m as taxes in July

HYDERABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad Dry Port and Sukkur divison have collected Rs 378.88 million collectively in wake of duties and taxes during the first month (July) of the current fiscal year 2015-16.

As per details, MCC Hyderabad Dry Port generated Rs 6.06 million in terms of customs duty, Rs 4.057 million as sales tax and Rs 2.012 million in wake of withholding tax, while the Sukkur division collected Rs 24.76 million as customs duty, Rs 326 million as sales tax, Rs 2.67 million under the head of federal excise duty and Rs 12.964 million as withholding tax during the said period.

Meanwhile in June, 2015, MCC Hyderabad Dry Port and Sukkur division have collected Rs 1.048 billion in wake of duties and taxes. However, data showed that MCC Hyderabad individually collected Rs 78.703 million as customs duty, Rs 6.879 million as sales tax, Rs 29,000 as FED and Rs 4.402 million in terms of withholding tax in June, 2015.

Similarly, Sukkur division generated customs duty to the tune of Rs 359.29 million in June, 2015, Rs 577.59 million as sales tax, Rs 3.88 million as FED and Rs 18.153 million in wake of withholding tax.

On the other hand, these regions collected Rs 1.499 billion in wake of taxes during May, 2015. MCC Hyderabad collected Rs 11.179 million as customs duty, Rs 15.584 million as sales tax, Rs 77,000 in wake of FED and Rs 3.24 under the head of withholding tax.

However, Sukkur division generated Rs 325.28 as customs duty, Rs 1.121 billion as sales tax, Rs 3.625 as FED and Rs 18.33 under the head of withholding tax during May, 2015.

AS a whole, MCC Hyderabad dry port and Sukkur division realised revenue amounting to Rs 2.926 billion during May-July, 2015.
