Hyderabad I&I seizes betel nuts & vehicle worth Rs7.97m

HYDERABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I Sukkur) recovered huge quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs7.97 million.

Keeping in line with the directions of Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Abdul Rasheed Shaikh to curb the menace of smuggling through Balochistan to up country via Sukkur, Director Saleem Memon advised Additional Director Jamshed Talpur and ASO staff to keep strict vigilance on the movement of smuggled goods from Jacobabad to Sukkur.

The I&I Sukkur led by Additional Director Jamshed Talpur has been very efficient and made several seizures of various goods worth millions of rupees.

Subsequently, I&I Sukkur ASO staff seized a mini truck and recovered large quantity of smuggled betel nut. Betel nut along with transporting vehicle worth Rs7.97 million in total; have been seized.
