Hyderabad I&I seizes smuggled goods worth Rs150m in October

HYDERABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) seized smuggled goods worth Rs150 million during different Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) during the month of October 2022.

The value of the seized goods in the month of October 2022 is approximate Rs.150 million which is 56 percent higher than the corresponding period of last year.

Director Intelligence and Investigation Mohammad Saleem and his ASO team led by Deputy Director Shakeel Larek and ASO Incharge Akmal Hashmi has accordingly aligned its available limited resources to achieve better results against smuggling and seized miscellaneous goods and NCP vehicles.

It is necessary to mention here that Director-General Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Faiz Ahmad directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling. He strictly directed that anyone who found involved in smuggling should be dealt as per law.
