SYDNEY: To ensure that they will be able to compete with the other vehicles in the market, Hyundai Australia offered to take $7000 off the original price so that customers will be able to drive away with one of their Hyundai I30 with just $19,990.
According to News Corp Australia, 3 out of 4 sales were because of the $19,990 price deal.
The new strategy allowed Hyundai to beat the other popular models in the Australia market including the Mazda 3 and the Toyota Corolla. The numbers will be even more impressive if Hyundai has chosen to sell the sedan model under the same badge.
This is the first time a South Korea company took the top spot in Australia since 1998.
