Hyundai introduces ‘Enduro crossover concept’ Seoul Auto Show

SYDNEY: Hyundai is bringing out an interesting concept Enduro crossover for the Seoul auto show in Korea. The Enduro crossover concept is “the professional gear for drivers wanting to escape from the ordinary,” according to Hyundai.

The Enduro Concept looks like a Veloster despite really trying to look like an SUV, complete with a raised suspension, step bars, silver roof rack, protective dark grey garnish on bottom, and some intense fender cladding. The three-door model also features a unique interpretation of Hyundai’s signature hexagonal grille that now has a lower centre of gravity. Also catching our eye is an aluminium aero blade that connects the front fender to the grille.

Hyundai dreamt up a motorcycle-themed interior for the Enduro, with a steering wheel design featuring the spoke and handle molding of a road bike. Notice the model doesn’t have any outside mirrors, opting instead for side- and rear view cameras connected to a display in the overhead console inside the car. Rear seats can be folded down in different ways to increase cargo room. Although the model is just a concept for now, Hyundai says it would be paired with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline direct-injected engine and a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
