FAISALABAD: Hyundai Nishat Motor (Private) Limited has announced its mass production at the assembly plant in FIEDMC, M3 Industrial Estate.
The plant has an annual production capacity of up to 15,000 units per annum in its initial phase, Hyundai’s manufacturing plant is now fully operational.
The Start of Production takes place two years after the ground breaking in December 2017. The HNMPL plant is the new production home for Hyundai’s first ‘Make in Pakistan’ product, the Porter H-100 Pickup.
“We are proud to open our new production facility in Pakistan,” said Mr. Tatsuya Sato, Chief Operating Officer. The COO informed that the company aims to make it a vital part of our global production network, in the long run.
Just days ago, the first locally assembled vehicle was delivered to its proud customer at a graceful event held at a local dealership on 13th January, 2020.
The Hyundai Porter H-100, is a famed product in the Hyundai brand portfolio. Its previous model known as Hyundai Shehzore has always been high in demand in its segment. It is a three-seater Light Commercial Vehicle with a 1-Ton payload capacity. The pick-up is powered by the upgraded powerful New 2.6L Diesel Euro-II engine along with a 5 Speed manual transmission.
