ICAI Muscat Chapter plans working group with Omani finance professionals

MUSCAT: ICAI Muscat Chapter recently held its Annual General Meeting and celebrated CA Day. The Managing Committee of the Chapter later unanimously elected CA. Mubeen Khan as its new chairman.

Outlining his priorities as new chairman of the Chapter, CA. Mubeen Khan stated that the Chapter wishes to enhance mutual learning activities with Omani professionals and he has already started the process of forming a joint working group of Indian Chartered Accountants and Omani Finance, Accounts and Audit professionals that will organize joint professional learning events to enhance the interactions, mutual learning and knowledge sharing amongst them.

“I have spoken to my colleagues at the Managing Committee and Chartered Accountant members of the chapter who really are excited and willing to work whole heartedly to make this initiative successful”, added Khan.

The Chapter also elected CA. Aastha Rangan as its Vice Chairperson, CA. Jayesh Kansara as Secretary and CA. Mainsh Jain as Treasuer. CA. Bhavani Prasad was given the responsibility as Chairman CPE Sub-Committee with additional charge of Sohar and Salalah whereas CA. Nitin Rajda was appointed as Chairman of Sub-Committee (Other Events).
