ICCI calls for urgent redress of Blue Area’s traders problems

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of All Traders Welfare Association (ATWA), Blue Area, Islamabad led by its President Yousaf Rajput visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry to congratulate Ahmed Hassan Moughal President, Raffat Farid Senior Vice President and Iftikhar Anwar Sethi Vice President ICCI on their unopposed election. Raja Hassan Akhtar Secretary General, Mian Akram Farid Patron-in-Chief, Malik Saghir Ahmed Chairman, Syed Amin Pirzada Group Leader and newly elected executive member of ICCI, Khalid Chaudhry and others were in the delegation.

Addressing the delegation, Ahmed Hassan Moughal, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that Blue Area was the largest business avenue of the federal capital and CDA as well as MCI should focus on addressing key issues of this business centre on urgent basis. He said that carpeting of roads in Blue Area was started, which was laudable, however, other development works should also be undertaken in this business area. He said Blue Area needed better facilities of car parking to cater to the needs of traders and customers.

Raffat Farid, Senior Vice President and Iftikhar Anwar Sethi Vice President ICCI thanked ATWA Blue Area delegation for visiting Chamber to congratulate the new office bearers of Chamber. They assured that the new team of ICCI would fully cooperate with the Blue Area Association in resolving key issues of traders of the area.

Yousaf Rajput, President, All Traders Welfare Association, Blue Area, Islamabad speaking at the occasion congratulated the new office bearers of ICCI and apprised them of the key issues of his market. He said that with the efforts of Association and Chamber, carpeting of roads was started in Blue Area after a gap of 12 years that would resolve the longstanding issue of traders. He said being the largest business avenue of Islamabad, Blue Area was required to be developed as a modern looking business bay. It would accelerate business activities, encourage investment and improve the local economy, he added.

He hoped that the new team of ICCI Office Bearers would fully cooperate with his Association in resolving major problems of the traders of Blue Area. Both sides reiterated that they would work jointly for the development of city and facilitation of business community.
