ICCI delegation calls on Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman NI(M)‏

ISLAMABAD:  A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its president Atif Ikram Sheikh called on Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman NI (M), Chief of Air Staff at Pakistan Air Force Headquarters and discussed with him matters of mutual interest.

The Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman NI(M), Chief of Air Staff briefed the ICCI delegation about the activities of Pakistan Air Force for further strengthening the aerial defense of the country. He also apprised the delegation about how the private sector could contribute to strengthen the hands of defense forces.  He said that PAF was fully cognizant of the needs of meeting country’s aerial defense and has fully prepared itself to deal with any security challenge.

He appreciated the role of business community in promoting business activities and improving the economy of the country and assured that PAF would keep strengthening aerial defense of the country to provide a peaceful and secured environment for growth of business and economic activities. ICCI delegation was also invited to visit Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra to explore the possibilities of public-private partnership in defense production activities.

Speaking at the occasion, Atif Ikram Sheikh, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry appreciated the role of Pakistan Air Force for providing strong, most efficient and cost effective aerial defense of Pakistan. He said Operation Zarb-e-Azam has improved the law and order situation in the country leading to revival of economic activities. The matters related to public-private partnership in defense production activities also came under discussion. He assured that business community would always fully support and cooperate with PAF in its endeavors aimed at making aerial defense of Pakistan even stronger.

Senior vice president Sheikh Pervez Ahmed vice president ICCI Sheikh abdul waheed, Chairman Founder Group Khalid Javaid, former President FPCCI Zubair Ahmed, Sheikh Tariq Sadiq, Mian Akram Farid, Mian Shaukat Masud, Khalid Iqbal Malik, Muhammad Nasir Khan, Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi, Zahid Maqbool (former Presidents ICCI), Malik Sohail Hussain, Tahir Abbasi and Tanveer Sultan Awan were included in the ICCI delegation.
