ICCI felicitates Abdul Rauf, Zafar Bakhtawari on wining FPCCI elections

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Chambers of Commerce and Industry congratulated Abdul Rauf on being elected as president and Zafar Bakhtawari as vice president of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) for the year 2016.

ICCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh, Senior Vice President Sheikh Pervez Ahmed, Vice President Sheikh Abdul Waheed, Executive Committee, former presidents and members congratulated the newly elected president.

They said their election was a source of pride for the business community of the federal capital. They also congratulated other candidates of UGB for winning FPCCI elections. Abdul Rauf and Zafar Bakhtawari are former presidents of ICCI and were nominated by the United Business Group for FPCCI elections. They also congratulated UBG for sweeping the elections of FPCCI, which showed the trust of the business community on its good performance.

They said Abdul Rauf and Zafar Bakhtawari have already demonstrated great leadership qualities at various forums and hoped that they would play an important role in making FPCCI more effective apex trade body for addressing the key issues of the business community of the country.

They also expressed gratitude and thanks to Patron-in-Chief S.M. Munir, Chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik and whole team of the United Business Group for posing confidence in Abdul Rauf and nominating him as Presidential candidate for FPCCI. They hoped that during his tenure, FPCCI would achieve many new milestones for the betterment of business community of the country and would assist the government in making conducive policies for the growth of business activities and better economic development of the country.

After winning Presidential election of FPCCI, Abdul Rauf and Zafar Bakhtawari thanked all his voters and well-wishers for supporting him and resolved that he would try to deliver up to their expectations. They especially thanked S.M.Munir Patron-in-Chief, Iftikhar Ali Malik Chairman and whole team of United Business Group for posting trust in him and nominating them as candidate for PFCCI elections. Abdul Rauf assured that he would fully respect the mandate of UBG and take all possible measures for resolving the issues of business community of the country. He said he would take trade bodies of the country on board on important matters to give consensus proposals to the government for making growth-oriented economic policies.
