ICCI new office bearers and executive members take oath

ISLAMABAD: The newly elected office bearers and executive members of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) have taken oath in the 31st Annual General Meeting of ICCI.

Abdul Rauf Alam, Chairman, Founder Group administered oath to Atif Ikram as President, Sheikh Pervez Ahmed, Senior Vice President and Sheikh Abdul Waheed, Vice President as well as the new Executive Members.

Speaking at the occasion, Atif Ikram, new President of ICCI thanked the Founder Group and ICCI members for electing him unopposed and unfolded his plan to serve the cause of business community. He said entrepreneurs were facing many challenges in running business activities and assured that ICCI liaison with CDA, FBR, IESCO, local administration and other relevant departments would be further strengthened to address the key issues of business community. He also appreciated the good work of outgoing team and affirmed that he would take forward their good initiatives for the betterment of trade and industry.

The outgoing president Muzzamil Hussain Sabri congratulated the new Office Bearers and Executive Members for their unopposed election and hoped that they would make utmost efforts for resolving the problems of business community. He also highlighted the major initiatives taken during his tenure for the solution of important issues of trade and industry.

Abdur Rauf Alam, Chairman, Founder Group congratulating the new Office Bearers and Executive Members said that all decisions in Founder Group were taken on merit and efforts were made to pick up the best talent to lead the business community. He said businessmen should develop strong unity as with united efforts, they could better protect their rights. He hoped that the new team would deliver up to the expectations of stakeholders and also appreciated the services of outgoing team.

Sheikh Pervez Ahmed new Senior Vice President and Sheikh Abdul Waheed Vice President assured that they would make best efforts to make useful contribution for serving the cause of businessmen. M. Shakeel Munir, outgoing Senior Vice President and M. Ashfaq Hussain Chatha Vice President congratulated the new Office Bearers and Executive Members. They also assured their full support to the new team in its efforts aimed at promoting the interests of business community.
