Sardar Tahir Mehmood said that the media plays a pivotal role in highlighting economic opportunities and business initiatives, adding that close liaison between ICCI and journalists is essential for keeping the business community informed about emerging investment prospects and policy developments.

Highlighting the investment potential of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), he said that the region offers vast opportunities particularly in tourism, mines and minerals, and the information technology sector. He noted that ICCI is actively working to connect investors from Pakistan and Azad Kashmir to facilitate mutually beneficial economic partnerships and unlock the region’s untapped potential.

The ICCI President further said that the recent Middle East conflict has opened new avenues for Pakistan and Azad Kashmir to attract foreign investment, especially from overseas Pakistanis and the Kashmiri diaspora. He stressed that by providing a conducive investment environment and proper facilitation, the country can capitalize on these opportunities.
