ICCI, Senator Abdul Qayyum discuss economic situation

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has called on Senator Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qayyum and discussed prevailing economic situation in the country.

Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qayyum said that the revival of economy was on high priority of the government and it was making strenuous efforts to create an enabling environment for better growth business and economic activities.

The ICCI delegation, led by its President Muzzamil Hussain Sabri and Founder Group Chairman Abdul Rauf Alam, congratulated Qayyum on being elected as Senator. Qayyum said that businessmen were playing an important role in the economic development of the country and government was determined to resolve all issues of business community to facilitate them in smooth growth of entrepreneurial activities. He said that ICCI should share concerns of its members and assured that he would take up them with relevant authorities for redress.

Speaking at the occasion, Muzzamil Hussain Sabri, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry highlighted various issues of trade and industry and stressed that government should pay priority attention to resolving energy crisis that was badly affecting business and industrial activities.
