ISLAMABAD: A single bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), comprising Justice Aamer Farooq, took up a petition filed by M/s Wateen Telecom Limited, challenging a recovery notice made by the field office of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday.

However, the court adjourned the hearing after brief arguments between the two sides. M/s Wateen Telecom had challenged a show cause notice issued by the Large Taxpayers Unit, Islamabad. The appellant had prayed the court to declare the notice as illegal and without any lawful authority and an interim stay may be granted against recovery proceedings.
