IHC adjourns hearing of cases filed against ATIR

ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Islamabad High Court has adjourned the hearing of cases filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue by office bearer of the Large Taxpayer’s Unit and the Regional Tax Office, Islamabad.

A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N. Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard the sales and income tax references against ATIR.

The court adjourned a case till third week of April. This case was filed by RTO officer, Commissioner Inland Revenue, Legal agasint ATIR. It was an income tax refernce in which ATIR wsa made main respondent. Another sales tax reference was filed by LTU commissioner Inland Revenue against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue.

The bench fixed it for hearing on April 21. Both the said petitioners had challenged ATIR decisions before the court.
