IHC adjourns hearing of cases filed by FBR against M/s Industrial Technology, M/s PBCL

ISLAMABAD: A division bench of Islamabad High Court on Monday adjourned hearing of several cases filed by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

IHC divisional bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani dated in office the cases and these would be heard at some other dates as scheduled by the court administration.

FBR field office, Regional Tax Office (RTO) officer, commissioner of income tax, wealth tax had filed couple of these cases. He has filed these cases against M/s Industrial Technologies Private Limited, Islamabad and Dr. Muhammad Habib.

Another case was filed by Large Taxpayers Unit’s Commissioner Inland Revenue against M/s Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Limited, Islamabad.

In the former cases, commissioner had prayed the court to set aside stay grated to the parties regarding payment of their outstanding taxes in heads of income and sales taxes.

RTO had prayed the court to reinstate the show cause notices issued to M/s Industrial Technologies Private Limited, Islamabad and Dr Muhammad Habib and allow the tax collecting body to recover outstanding tax amounts from them.

However, the cases were not heard since their hearing on the day was cancelled and dated in the office.
