IHC adjourns hearing of reference filed against ATIR

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday adjourned a hearing of the references filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

Two division benches of the IHC heard the cases. A case filed by M/s Aftab Traders was heard by the division bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani. The hearing was adjourned due to other occupation of judges.

Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the case filed by Commissioner of Inland Revenue. The appellant in this case had challenged the ATIR decision.

The court would hear a reference filed against Federal Tax Ombudsman on Friday (today). Justice Athar Minallah would hear the case filed by Kausar Arshad.
