ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned the hearing of sales tax references involving Customs Appellate Tribunal and officers of the Regional Tax Office (RTO).
A division bench, of the IHC comprising Justice Noor Ul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard the references and adjourned for second week of February.
M/s Shaukat & Sons Limited had filed the references through Counsel Farhat Nawaz Lodhi. M/s PKP Kandwari Limited had filed the reference through Advocate Hafiz M Idrees.
Both petitioners had made Customs Appellate Tribunal and RTO office bearer, collector of customs and sales tax parties in their respective references.
Both the companies had challenged customs appellate tribunal’s decision pertaining to their claims about recovering extra charged tax.
