IHC adjourns hearing of three tax references filed by M/s Lafarge Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of Islamabad high court on Thursday adjourned hearing of three tax references filed against Customs Appellate Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

IHC division bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan heard two sales tax references filed against ATIR.

During cases’ proceedings, the court heard arguments from both sides and directed them to conclude their arguments on next date of hearing. The court later on dated the case in office for further scheduling of hearing. This reference had been filed by M/s Lafarge Pakistan.

Meanwhile, another division bench of IHC comprising of Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah adjourned hearing of M/s United Express’s customs reference till third week of June. This tax matter had been filed against Customs Appellate Tribunal, Islamabad.

Both the appellants had challenged decision of receptive tribunal before the IHC.
