IHC adjourns hearing of two cases filed against ATIR

ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday adjourned the hearing of a couple of sales tax complaints challenging the decision given by the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

A division bench of the IHC comprising of Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N  Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah was schedule to hear the cases but the bench remained busy with hearing of a murder case.

As a result of this, other cases including the sales tax cases were adjourned. M/s Capgas Private and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had filed the sales tax references against ATIR.

M/s Capgas Private had challenged ATIR decision given in 2013 and the case was pending before the bench filed in the same year.
