IHC adjourns sales tax reference against IR Tribunal

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a tax reference filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue.

A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the sales tax matter filed by Messer Nowshera and adjourned the hearing by directing both parties to ensure appearance before the court on the next hearing.

Messer Nowshera had filed the reference in 2015 in which it had challenged an ATIR decision before the IHC.

ATIR had yet not submitted new name of counsel to contest on its behalf while Advocate Syed Asghar represented Messer Nowshera during hearing on Wednesday.
