IHC bench to hear tax reference filed by M/s Liberty Power today

ISLAMABAD: A single bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear a tax reference of M/s Liberty Power Limited challenging recovery notice of around Rs 1.29 billion issued by the Large Taxpayers’ Unit, Islamabad today.

A single bench of the IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq will hear the case. The appellant had challenged the recovery order of the Large Taxpayers’ Unit, dated May 6, 2016. The LTU had issued the order stating the recoverable outstanding tax of Rs 1.29 billion for the tax period from September 2009 to August 2012.
